Serena Fined A Record Breaking $82,500 For Us Open Incident

According to Grand Slam administrator Bill Babcock, Serena Williams was fined a record $82,500 for her U.S. Open tirade and could be suspended from that tournament if she has another "major offense" in the next two years. She faces a "probationary period" at tennis' four major championships in 2010 and 2011. If she has another "major offense" at a Grand Slam tournament in that time, the fine would increase to $175,000 and she would be barred from the following U.S. Open.

Damn! I guess next time she'll think twice before going off. Do you think this is fair or is the fine a little to harsh?

Alicia Keys Speaks on Swizz Beatz Rumors In Uptown Magazine

In the forthcoming December '09/January '10 issue of Uptown Magazine, Alicia Keys discusses her professional and personal aspirations from marriage, acting, music and gossip.

She addresses the rumors concerning her alleged affair with producer Swizz Beats, formerly married to singer Mashonda.

"I felt I had to speak out about things and clear my name," she says. "But as time went on I realized it was a waste of energy. I think it's better to just keep things moving. People will take [your business] and run with it in whichever direction they choose."

Hmm, I don't know whether the rumors are true or not, but after seeing the pics of them kissing while he was still married to Mashonda, I don't know what to believe...

Tiger Woods took to his website yesterday and released a statement regarding the car crash that has many speculating about what REALLY happened.

As you all know, I had a single-car accident earlier this week, and sustained some injuries. I have some cuts, bruising and right now I'm pretty sore.

This situation is my fault, and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I'm human and I'm not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn't happen again.

This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.

The only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.

This incident has been stressful and very difficult for Elin, our family and me. I appreciate all the concern and well wishes that we have received. But, I would also ask for some understanding that my family and I deserve some privacy no matter how intrusive some people can be.

On Tuesday, Gucci Mane spoke out about his most recent arrest in a statement he sent to XXLMag.com.

"I have accepted full responsibility for my actions, and I am ready to deal with what is in front of me right now, Thankfully, my label is still moving forward with my album release, so I will have plenty to look forward to when I get out. Police say Anthony Carrazco, 19. Went door-to-door trying to sell marijuana until the last door he knocked on was the door of an off duty police officer (Wow). The man appeared to be intoxicated and had three ounces of pot and a scale with him, The officer told him he would be right back and went to get his badge and some handcuffs.

He remains in Cameron County Jail, in Texas with $10,000 worth of bonds.

Gucci Mane was sent back to Fulton County Jail in Atlanta yesterday for a probation violation.

Sources close to the Atlanta rapper say Gucci attended a court hearing earlier today to determine whether or not he’d have to serve time for an unspecified infraction that violated the conditions of his probation. He was sentenced to 12 months, but could end up serving only six with good behavior

Los Angeles police have confirmed that Mike Tyson is in jail after reportedly getting into a altercation and punching a celebrity photographer who was following him at Los Angeles International Airport terminal 7 on Wednesday afternoon. He is facing a misdemeanor battery charge but has since been released on a signature bond.
