VIBE Magazine (Founded in 1993 by Quincy Jones) is the latest mag to shut down shop due to the recession. VIBE’s P.R. spokeswoman, Tracy Nguyen, said the Vibe staff was formally notified in a meeting at 2 p.m.
I for one will miss them, VIBE is the only magazine I subscribe to. I wonder if they will be issuing refunds now? hmm I'm going to check into that. Anyways,

I was a one time subscriber to Vibe...but I always liked the Source better. Vibe became a staple of the urban music community and culture, so for that it will be missed.
As these entities fold...maybe sites like JuicyCarter can flourish.
